| Introduction | With my two children, ages 15 and 9, I live not far from the main road in Madison County, VA. The kids attend the county's excellent public schools (high school and elementary). I work part-time, online, from home, for UVA's Miller Center of Public Affairs. The three of us love living in Madison! Having grown up in suburban Northern VA, and spent 8 years of my adult life in Blacksburg, VA [to whence all dirt roads lead, happily], I'm delighted to be living and raising my kids in this friendly, beautiful, peaceful place. We've been here since Lane was 3 years old. He says he never wants to leave! But if he has to leave to go to college, and then to play pro football (!), he will definitely come back home to Madison. Because we all know there's no place like home, right?! |
