| Introduction | I am 36 years old and am married with a seventeen month old son. Life is busy, but full of joy. I grew up the youngest of five children in a large Italian family. I was always surrounded by family, friends, love, and of course great food! Currently, I teach third grade and love my job. My life has always been a happy one full of love. This week is a challenging one for me as I await news of HOPE for my sister who is battling cancer. She was diagnosed in January and this week will be going for an MRI to check the progress of her treatment. Her hospital is down at Duke University. Their motto on the bracelet we all wear with pride is At Duke...there is HOPE. I hold onto this hope every day of my life. |
