| Introduction | My name is Toby. I am a 12-year-old girl and birder, living on a floathouse in Tofino, BC, on the far west coast of Canada. Last year, 2016, I embarked on my first Big Year. My goal was to see over 120 bird species by December 31st. I saw 217! For environmental reasons,I didn't make a lot of special trips to do this, but my family and I went to Newfoundland in the fall and saw some east coast birds there. |
