About me

Gender Female
Occupation Homemaker
Location Fort Eustis, VA, United States
Introduction On 14 September 2007, I married my Prince and ventured into a world that I could never have dreamed up! Approximately 3 weeks after we married, my husband deployed to Iraq for 15 months, forcing me to dive head first into the life of an Army spouse. I quickly learned that the saying, "Army Wife is the toughest job in the Army" was pretty close to accurate. My husband has served our great country for about 18 years so what was new for me was old hat for him. I am a graduate of Boston College and have worked as a high school special education teacher. Most recently, I left my corporate America job after 8 years to stay home and help my husband with his career. That was a huge adjustment but it has led me to really look at different aspects of me. I spend much of my time volunteering with many organizations on post including the Spouses Club of Fort Eustis Welfare Chair and Family Readiness Group (FRG) Leader, as well as Army Family Team Building (AFTB) Instructor. I have also volunteered my time with the USO and Army Community Services (ACS). I try my best to stay active on post and attend many activities and functions.
Interests saving money by couponing!, belly dancing, cooking, reading, sewing and quilting, scrapbooking, anything crafty and supporting my husband in his career
Favorite Movies My all time favorite movies are Fools Rush In, Pretty Woman, an Officer and a Gentleman and How To Lose a Guy in 10 Days! (I know, CHICK FLICKS!)
Favorite Music I love all kinds of music but Country is in my heart and soul.
Favorite Books I don't think I can name an absolute favorite book...Most recently I have been reading mostly Army-related (primarily those geared toward spouses and families) in an attempt to get to know all that I can about this new life that I have ventured into!
