Why do you think honeydew is the money melon?

In 6th grade one day, I saw a loose hair on the back of the girl in front of me. I carefully rearranged it on her back in script to spell 'honey,' but it was so long I added 'dew.' I saw the kid beside me write 'money due' on a note for the kids behind us. I looked at what I’d written, and the 'h' had drooped to make 'm' while 'dew' looked like ‘due.’ This is the only explanation I can think of.
