| Introduction | I'm a student of Economics and Political Science living in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. I work as a Research Fellow for the University of Pittsburgh's Graduate School of Business, and as an instructor for the Pennsylvania Motorcycle Safety Program.
I'm fascinated by the potential for the application of Economics to solve problems, and I believe that an understanding of relevant incentives is key to understanding nearly anything. This blogs serves as a home for my ramblings and as an archive for the evolution of my ideas and perspectives as I continue my studies. My academic interests lie mainly at the intersection of applied microeconomics and organizational psychology. I'm especially interested in direct and indirect financial incentives in the workplace. I'm also interested in domestic microfinance underwriting and risk management, and in the effects of political philosophies on the culture of firms. In my free time, I like to ride bicycles, train my dog, and tinker with motorcycles in my garage. |
