| Introduction | Hi everybody! My name is Kennie and I am a 21 year-old UT senior. I am enrolled in this GOV 2305 class for two primary reasons: 1) To fulfill my last state of Texas requirement for graduation, and 2) to reacquaint myself with the systems of our American government and how they function today. In terms of political ideology, I'm in general a moderate. With economic issues, I tend to favor the Conservative Right, while with civil issues, I almost always side with the Liberal Left. On the Civic Literacy Report from the Intercollegiate Studies Institute, I scored a 72.73%, which I was honestly a little surprised at. However, on the Pew News IQ Score, I only scored a 5/12, which is still better than 48% of Americans who took the quiz. I've never blogged before, so I hope all you readers out there enjoy this and I'm looking forward to seeing some other cool blogs this semester. |
