| Introduction | Alisia was born in New Orleans, LA and moved to Atlanta, GA in 2005. She graduated from Xavier and Tulane Universities and currently serves as Development Director for Carrie Steele-Pitts Home for Children in south-west Atlanta. As a successful Publicist for three New Orleans Mayors and professor of media and marketing, Hurricane Katrina sparked an interest in Psychology that had long been buried since high school. Harris worked as a United Way Program Coodinator with Hurricane Survivors and consulted on trasition projects to help survivors adapt to life in Atlanta. As a "survivor and counselor" Harris has worked with other psychologists and counseling professionals in continued efforts to aid New Orleans residents. With a B.A. in Mass Communications and an M.A. in Non-Profit Management, Harris is currently working on a doctoral degree in Media Psychology at Fielding University. |
