Introduction	In 2002, I bought a lovely ranch home with a tiny kitchen. It soon became apparent that I would need a bigger kitchen. Space was just so limited and I had very little counter space to work with. In 2004, I began a whole house remodel. I extended the back of the house and added a second story. By the time it was done, I had a wonderful kitchen in which to cook. Unfortunately, with being without a kitchen for almost a year (!), I had gotten too used to eating out and I had lost my desire for cooking. At the beginning of 2012, I looked at our year-end summary of charges for 2011. Ho - lee - crap. I had no idea how much my husband and I had spent on restaurants! I decided to get my butt back in the kitchen and thus began meal planning and cooking. To be honest, it was a chore at first. But now, I really have re-discovered why I wanted that remodel to begin with! Bon appetit!
