About me

Gender Female
Occupation Graphic Designer
Location Wyoming, MI
Introduction My plan was to be a graphic designer—even before I knew exactly what all that entailed! I made the commitment before I started college and never looked back. Now I have spent ten years in the design industry, which have opened up to me a variety of design experiences and projects. I enjoy working on a wide range of projects from brochures, catalogs, and marketing materials to t-shirt and website design. My specialty, however, is in book design with an expanding knowledge in ebook design. I earned my Bachelor of Fine Arts with a Graphic Design Emphasis from Grand Valley State University, and I have also taken continuing education courses in Dreamweaver and Flash from Kendall College of Art and Design and New Horizons Learning Center. My education and years of experience have allowed me to develop a solid knowledge working with a wide variety of design programs. I enjoy networking with other designers, and I volunteer my time by doing portfolio reviews and mock interview for design students at local colleges. The best way to improve and expand is to be involved in a community of people in the industry who are also passionate about what they do.
Interests Design, Computers, Yoga & Fitness, Animals, Volunteering for a good cause!
Favorite Books The Help, The Kite Runner (although I will never read it again because it is so sad), Most Jodi Picoult books
