Introduction	Alan was romancing Renita when she gave him the boot. Undeterred, he weaseled his way back into her heart with a unique proposition: "Why don't we write a book?" Alan had zero interest in writing a book on marriage and divorce but it was on top of Renita's list of To-Do's. After four years of re-wooing, Renita saw the light and they got hitched -- the yoke was on them. It was a future neither could have imagined. Born in Minnesota, Renita was raised in Southern California where she attended California Lutheran College and Long Beach State College before joining the LDS church. Alan, from Connecticut, joined the Navy, joined the Church, served time at BYU and spent many years selling his soul doing TV in Hollywood. The products of painful divorces, Alan and Renita are trying to save others a similar fate, or at least help them figure out what's gone wrong. After six years of hard labor, The Book was born...which they hope will influence for good other marriages before, during, and after they happen.
