About me

Occupation Methodist Minister
Location Belfast, Northern Ireland
Introduction I am David A. Campton, a Methodist Minister, currently superintendent of the South and Central Belfast Circuit, and superintendent of the Belfast Central Mission, one of the oldest charities in Ireland. I am one of the organisers of the 4 Corners Festival, and a regular contributor to Thought for the Day on BBC Radio Ulster and to Roots for Worship. I'm married to Sally, who has worked for 17 years in the voluntary and community sector. We have 2 sons: Owain and Ciaran. The views expressed here are not the official viewpoint of the Methodist Church in Ireland, or any part of it, merely personal ramblings. The A. of my name is to distinguish me from the other David Campton, who was a real author and playwright.
