| Introduction | This is a blog about a personal interaction with history emphasizing the physical, emotional, and yes, spiritual encounters that I and others have experienced while interacting with history. Originally started as a response to the 150th anniversary of the Civil War, the blog has now expanded to the Revolutionary War, George Washington, Freemasonry and other subjects and periods of history. I have participated in over 300 historical anniversaries and ceremonies and have and continue to visit countless historical sites. I am a descendant of both Revolutionary War and Civil War ancestors, a member of the Maryland Sons of Confederate Veterans (SCV), The Maryland SCV Color Guard, The Old Line State Liberty Guard Revolutionary War Color Guard, a York Rite Freemason and Knights Templar, a Board Member of the Maryland Masonic Grand Lodge’s Library and Museum, and an Ambassador to the George Washington Masonic Memorial. |
