| Introduction | I am a freelance writer and the author of three books: Shopping for a Living: A Memoir on Merging Marriage, Motherhood and Merchandising (2009), The Takeover: An Unexpected Caregiver's Story (2014) and Pulling Harvey Out of Her Hat: The Amazing Story of Mary Coyle Chase (2020). I am originally from Chicago but I have lived in Colorado since 1980. I have been married for fifty-four years and have two married sons and two grandchildren.
