Introduction I am a Believer, wife, daughter, sister, aunt, teacher, Aggie, and jewelry artist. Creating jewelry is a God-given passion discovered in 2005 after browsing a how-to book on making gifts for people. One project was creating earrings from sterling silver wire; this started the creative juices flowing! I truly believe it was Divine Inspiration. LaLa is the name by which my precious nieces and nephews call me, so I adopted it for my jewelry as well. LaLa Designs is a one-woman studio. I work with natural stones, sterling silver, copper, brass, and silver-filled (a brass core clad with layers of sterling silver--better than plated) sheet metal. I also throw in some copper, brass, sterling, or silver-filled wire, vintage jewelry, and found objects for good measure. I'm inspired by many things; nature, wonderful contemporary, victorian, and southwestern architecture, vintage items, rustic things, bohemian and hippie chic items, and southwestern style jewelry. You will find bits and pieces of these in my work. It is a bit of an eclectic mix, but, then, so am I!
