| Introduction | I am a proud mother of two boys( Tyler and Curtis). My husband loves to fish and golf and that of course leaves me as much time as I want to sew and create art. My love of sewing started when I was in grade 9 and since then I have tought myself to do many things. My Dad was a man of many talents and I have learned over the years that I am much like him. If I think I'd like to try something, I just do it. My newest challenge has been to learn longarm quilting. I purchased a Gammill in December of 2010 and am just loving it. There seems to be things that take me away from quilting at times, but I spend many hours planning my next project. I have been getting most of my practise on Comfort quilt for Trent Valley Guild which I belong to. Some day I would like to become a professional Longarm quilter, but until then I will quilt for the love of it. I am also an instructor who shows friends how to quilt. Sharing what I have learned is most satisfying. |
