| Introduction | Hesed (sometimes spelled chesed) is a Hebrew word found in the Old Testament that refers to covenant loyalty. There is no exact way to translate it into English, so hesed appears in English Bibles in many different forms. Words such as steadfast love or loving kindness are used to signify its true meaning. Hesed has a dual significance built into the word: It represents the vertical relationship we have with God, along with the horizontal relationship we share with our neighbors.Our belief at Hesed Now Ministries is that our vertical relationship should impact us in such a way that it transforms our horizontal relationships with others.
