About me

Industry Science
Occupation Aerztin
Location A little place in England, United Kingdom
Introduction Wilkommen to my blog - my name is Karin Purshouse, and I'm a doctor in the UK. If you're looking for ramblings on life as a junior doctor, my attempts to dual-moonlight as a scientist and balancing all that madness with a life, you've come to the right place. I'm currently a doctor/research trainee in oncology after spending a year doing research in the USA. All original content is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License.
Interests (Apart from science/medicine) - music, the outdoors, climbing, dancing (either properly or just around my room), history, coffee.
Favorite Movies the key is not so much film as venue. In every city I live in, I hunt down one of those old-school cinemas where they give you raffle tickets for entry and serve everything from mugs of tea to bottles of beer. And the seats are sofas.
Favorite Music Bombay Bicycle Club, Sia, London Grammar, Phoenix, but basically open to anything, (classical) Max Bruch, Karl Jenkins, Will Todd, and seemingly lots of Mahler.
Favorite Books Many. This list is a work in progress.

Well, maybe they don't need them, but don't you think that some fish might like a bicycle?

Well quite right too. I gifted myself some new wheels recently, Jessie the bicycle, and I can quite understand why some fish feel short changed.
