Introduction My name is Scott. I'm a mechanical engineer and adventurer. Photography is a big hobby. When I was little, I walked outside my house in northern California. The air was full of springtime dust. Individual rays of sun shined though the redwood trees. Excited and intrigued, I said "mom get the camera!". She ran inside and grabbed her old Canon T50 for me. I haphazardly pointed at the trees and fired away. This was the first time I remembered specifically caring about the outcome of a photo. When I was in 7th or 8th grade, I was sitting in our house one night with a full moon and clear skies outside. The moonlight shined through the window making an obvious patch of light on the floor. I had recently acquired a Canon G5 and I knew it had all these fancy settings on it. For some reason I wanted to see if I could take a picture of the moonlight. One long exposure and big grin later, I had a photo of moonlight. This was the first time I remember specifically playing with the settings on a camera to get what I wanted.
