| Introduction | I served as a Combat Corpsman with the 1st Marine Division 1968-69 I returned home to Missouri and spent 7 years of horrorible nightmares, hatred, anxiety. I reunited with my old Platoon Sgt. Vince Rios, who was my friend, mentor and hero. Soon I was invited to speak at get togethers, had many poems Published and finally wrote the poem "The Corpsman and The Wall" in sept. 2000. The rest so to speak is History. My book "The Names NOT On The Wall" soon followed and I was overwhelmed with letters, calls, emails etc. I Publeshed in 2006 ( took me 4 years to write the book, mostly trying to remember events I had previously spent 32 years trying to FORGET. The book is as true as I can make it after 40 years. I spoke at the Marine Corps Ball in Gainesville Tx. Nov. 2008 and was quite humbled by the invitation. I still speak often when invited and have book signings at these events. "The Names NOT on The Wall" continues to touch lives including my own.
