| Introduction | Dr Mahua Majumdar is a teacher, a trainer, an author and a mentor. A gold medalist in economics, she has been facilitating the understanding of free economics, management and banking for the student community for last 20 years. She has, in her capacity as an acclaimed economist, from time to time been training mainstream bankers in the dynamics of a market-governed economy. Her area of specialization remains banking, her doctorate having underlined the impact of private banking sector in India with HDFC Bank as case study. As an author of several books, her work has been assimilated in the University curriculum. She is presently serving as a faculty with the St Xavier's College in Jaipur. |
