| Introduction | I am an American cultural and intellectual historian with a PhD in Humanities/History of Ideas from the University of Texas at Dallas and an undergraduate degree in English from Stanford University. I am a full-time professor of history at my local community college. My current book project is tentatively titled Canon Wars: The Stanford "Western Culture" Debates and the Neoliberal Assault on American Higher Education. Since January 2012, I have been a regular contributor to the U.S. Intellectual History blog, and have served in various capacities on the executive board. I am currently serving a three-year term as Editor in Chief of the blog, an official publication of the Society for U.S. Intellectual History.
