| Favorite Movies | I'll admit I can be a movie snob at times - once upon a time I was an aspiring filmmaker and while my love of that particular medium has never wanted, I've been more open to projects of all calibers. I love independent film and film that comes from an original and unique perspective. I enjoy drama, comedy, romance, horror, thriller, musicals, documentary, etc. You name it and I'll see you there at the movies... Likely fifth row back, center in a reclining seat silently and eagerly watching the trailers while sipping a Pepsi Zero. (Sorry Theater Owners, but I most likely brought the drink from home) |
| Favorite Music | My taste in music confuses people and always has. I'm very eclectic and enjoy artist of all genres. From the "Lizard King" himself Jim Morrison via The Doors to the unique stylings of Mama Cass. From Kurt Cobain to Pearl Jam, Metallica, Guns n Roses all the way to Stevie Nicks, The Verve, Placebo and the insanely talented and vocally blessed Amy Lee of Evanescence. I also enjoy Eminem, Jewel, Korn, Natalie Imbruglia, And so many more from classic to country, rock to pop. Music is such a huge part of our lives and can make or break our moods, create deep emotional anchors in our memories and transport us to another world completely with the simple hum of a single speaker. |
| Favorite Books | I really enjoy writing myself and as a writer I love to explore different genres and talented storytellers with unique voices scripting their sound through their personal way with words. I love Janet Fitch and White Oleander in particular is a novel I find myself rereading from time to time and devouring the pages in their poetic and heartbreaking take on a girls longing for her mother's approval while finding her own identity and place in the world. Running with Scissors is a witty, out there memoir from Augustan Burroughs that I've read many times over till the pages were falling out from the spine. I find myself on edge, always searching for the news of the next drop of a new title. His memoirs are deeply revealing, sharp and clever with a laugh out loud comedy and the pages giving a fresh view to everyday life observation and the experiences he survived in his journey to becoming a writer in New York. I also like Bret Easton Ellis, Christopher Rice, Scott Heim and more. While I love fiction I have a slight addiction to for all types of reference literature from Self Help, Motivation, World Religion, Business and Technology, Biography and a personal favorite... Coloring Books! |
