| Introduction | i grew up in buzau, the inviolable little hamlet of ductil, fc gloria buzau, a second league football team, grey apartment houses and sunshines that you’d dream of if you knew any better. i graduated. i spent the next years in bucharest, distracted and shoulder-deep in ways i wasn’t yet living.i met a girl, ditched college, got high, drove a car without a license, i wrote a poem and threw it out,i went into the wild, got drunk,i packed a backpack full of beauteous, feverish dreams and a pair of pants,i lived in a hostel,i milked cows,i stole,i fell in love,i went to sarajevo,i got drunk, i read vanity of duluoz,i suffocated in a room for three months straight, made wine, got ripped off, had more sex rather outdoors than indoors,i teached geography in a highschool, spent three days in a hospital without being sick,i broke a heart,i had a car,i lied,i fell in love again,i spoke slovak,i rode across the bulgarian border with class a drugs in my shoes,i sat on a rooftoop and nearly cried because nothing i could see belonged to me, i said goodbye, i started a blog. this is what i care to recall. |
