Introduction I was ordained in the Church of England in 1969 and ministered there for seven years. The next 31 years were spent in the USA, where my ministry was either "start up" or "pick up." I have worked internationally and in parishes, but my most recent pastoral task was at the Church of the Resurrection, Franklin, Tennessee. Since September 2007 I have been part of the team at Ridley Hall theological college in Cambridge, England, working on the development challenge. I am a Canon Missioner in the Diocese of Owerri, Nigeria. If I am reading the pattern of my life correctly, the Lord seems to have kept the best for us until the last!
Interests Reading, Writing, My Family, Our small dog Fred and large cat Lady Jane Grey, watching Rugby Football. I much enjoy being Hannah, Robin, and Katie's grandpa.
Favorite Movies "Mr. Holland's Opus, " "Much Ado About Nothing"
Favorite Music I have a soft spot for Mozart, Elgar, Bach, Simon and Garfunkel, Dixieland Jazz, and good old-fashioned hymns. I can't stand rap, or anything with a deafeningly loud beat.
Favorite Books I much enjoyed the twenty-one of Patrick O'Brian's "Master and Commander" series of books about the Royal Navy in the Napoleonic Wars, now I am re-reading and freshly reading the Horatio Hornblower stories of C. S. Forster. Right now I am on a sci-fi jag

The squish of mud between your toes; how would you live your life as a frog?
