| Introduction | As the title of this BLOG suggests, I was more comfortable living in the 20th Century than this one (that means a year that falls roughly into the dates of 1945 - 1995.) From that you might guess correctly that I am a "Baby Boomer" since I was born in this time period just after the end of World War II. My parents were both in the Navy (Mom was in the Waves.) But they split up when I was 3 months old, so I grew up with a Step-father from the Midwest. He was conservative Republican (15 years older than Mom) but she was a closet Democrat. Being the product of such a family, I have tastes that run from the "conservative" when it comes to media and music, but "liberal" when it comes to social issues. So this is a place for my opinions and insights (such as they are) on the way I see our wacky old world, and what things are worthy of respect and preservation. |
