IntroductionRenee and I began pursuing international adoption nearly two-and-a-half years ago in July 2005. Through a series of choices and unfortunate circumstances, it wasn't until late 2007 that our efforts finally came to fruition. This blog captures our thoughts and feelings as we travel to Russia to meet our daughter-to-be and the final few months of this lengthy, but oh-so-worthy adventure.

You can whistle and steam can whistle, so why do you sing in the shower?

It's a cumulative thing. I whistle on my own -- not a problem. I put the kettle on -- it whistles when it's ready. When I jump into a hot shower, my whistling and the whistling of the steamy shower, layered one atop the other in an additive aural stack, results in reverberated renditions of such '70s classics as "Feelings" and "Tie a Yellow Ribbon." Blame it on new math.
