Introduction I'm a 27 year old lady working on my PhD. I am a self-proclaimed geek. I love neologisms (bonus points if you can find the one on this blog! In fact, bonus points if you know what a neologism is!), find vitamin deficiencies and dogs with cones on their heads exceedingly comical, lack nearly all physical coordination, rely on self-deprecating humour to defuse tense situation, and have a tendency towards overanalyzing everyday situations to a ridiculous extent. I'm a tremendous stress case. I love making up stories about the people I see on the street and look inside people's windows when walking by (but just for the purposes of making my stories more informed, I swear!).
Interests This is really the boring stuff that does not distinguish me from anyone else- I love live music, indie and random films, very amateur photography, reading for pure pleasure, exploring both the foreign and the ordinary, the sunny outdoors, cooking, reading, and time with the important people in my life.
Favorite Movies Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Being John Malkovich, Amelie, American Beauty, the English Patient, Little Miss Sunshine, Memento, the Breakfast Club, Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, and, of course, Grease!!
Favorite Music A semi-comprehensive list in alphabetic order...Amy Millan, The Arcade Fire, Arctic Monkeys, Beck, Ben Harper, Bjork, Cat Power, Damien Rice, Elliott Smith, Feist, Fiona Apple, Frou Frou, Imogen Heap, Jack Johnson, Jenny Lewis, John Butler Trio, Johnny Cash, Kathleen Edwards, Le Tigre, Martha Wainwright, Matt Costa, Metric, MGMT, Radiohead, Ray LaMontagne, Regina Spektor, Rilo Kiley, Santogold, Stars, Sublime, Tegan and Sara, Tristan Prettyman, White Stripes, Yeah Yeah Yeahs
Favorite Books Margaret Atwood, The Piano Man's Daughter (Timothy FIndley), Fall on Your Knees (Ann-Marie Macdonald), the Mists of Avalon (Marion Zimmer-Bradley), All Families are Psychotic (Douglas Coupland), anything by Augusten Burroughs

If you were a cannibal, what would you wear to dinner?

A red sequined evening gown with matching pumps. Just because I eat human beings doesn't mean I utterly lack decorum! (plus flesh stains won't show up on a red dress!)
