IntroductionOn April 9, 2010 I ate my last animal product. My son has always been allergic to dairy, my middle daughter had recently become vegetarian as an advocate for animals, and my other daughter became vegan, temporarily for health reasons. I didn't ever care much for meat, and certainly hadn't cooked with dairy products since the birth of my son, so I thought it was a great opportunity for me to finally start eating the way I wanted to eat - animal free. Learning about the impact that animal agriculture has on the environment was an added incentive for me to be vegan. I reduce, reuse, recycle, compost, and drive a car with good fuel economy. Why would I negatively impact the environment by eating animal products? My husband is a good sport. He is happy with good food regardless of the source. I love sharing food and recipes with friends. I often get envious stares from the people I work with when I bring leftovers for lunch. I am creating this blog for my friends and family who always ask me what I made for supper last night.
