| Introduction | Opa Shelling is about finding the seashells on the beaches. Opa is Grandpa in Dutch. Opa has been shelling for many years and has found truck loads of shells. Ope covers the beaches from Texas, to Maine. Most of the beaches are in Florida and the Carolinas. No live shells have been taken, all local and state laws have been followed. When picking up seashells please check with Federal, State, County, local, and beach laws for the area you are combing at that time. Each Beach and state have different laws. Federals laws will also apply if you are are federal lands. Also please follow ethical beach combing which is also picking up trash, protect the wildlife, and no live creatures are taken home Opa will cover how to find great beaches, what equipment works best for shelling, what makes a beach be a great beach to find shells, how to locate these beaches with seashells. |
