| Introduction | “Live in the moment”. “Life is short”. “Stay in the present”. We all know the phrases, and we all can recite them. But how many of us can actually practice them? It seems that no matter how much we try, we are constantly getting dragged into past instances or future plans. This makes it nearly impossible to truly focus on the here-and-now. I truly enjoy the seasons. Everything from the whiff of a pumpkin-scented candle in the Fall, a decorated Christmas lawn or the taste of a snowflake in the winter, a fresh summer recipe – all of these things make me stop and enjoy the moment for what it really is. For me, focusing on life season by season seems a doable task. This blog, for me, is a constant reminder to stay in the present through seasons. I’ve found that sometimes it’s hard to tackle a large task, especially one like this, without breaking it down. I am going to make a conscious effort every day to enjoy at least one thing about the season we are in. Whatever it is, no matter how large or small, I will make it a point to celebrate it and share it here. I hope you enjoy! |
