Introduction	I'm a teacher who consumes too much...that includes food AND stuff!I love to eat, and I love to shop (brick-and-mortar and online), though, and I'm trying to get it all in perspective. Retirement is not so far away, so time's-a-wastin'.

Favorite music	I like a little bit of music in just about all genres (except Celtic). I have a hard time with music in the background because I am compelled to actively listen to it. I use talk radio as white noise.
Favorite books	Political humor satire (usually liberal, but I also like P.J. O'Rourke), Feast of Love by Charles Baxter, Books by Anne Tyler (especially Digging to America), The Kite Runner by Kaled Hosseini
