| Introduction | Hailing from a poor background in eastern Bhutan, I am a second eldest from among 10 siblings of my parents. I started my schooling sometimes in 1992 at Barshong Primary School, perhaps as a first generation of pass outs of this very school then. After almost 18 years of schooling in few different schools and then in college, I am also one amongst the first batch of business graduates from Gaeddu College of Business Studies in June, 2010 honoring Tourism and Hospitality Management as a specialized area of study. And since November 2010, I started yet another complex chapter of my life, as a banker in one of the oldest and largest financial institution in Bhutan, Bank of Bhutan Limited. After serving the bank for 3 good years, i had the opportunity to pursue my Post Graduate Diploma in Banking from Institute of Finance, Banking and Insurance in Kolkata, India in 2013. I am publicly and officially known by the name Ugyen Tenzin and also as "Lekzin" to my close circle of friends and associates. |
