Introduction | So nice of you to stop by. I am a poet, memoirist, star dreamer, living on Vancouver Island, on the beautiful West Coast of Canada. I have been writing since I was a child. Poetry is my first love. But I also use the wealth of material from my life and family for blogging or prose pieces. I am hoping to connect with other like-minded writers of poetry and prose, lovers of the world, nature and humanity. I have had a love affair with the ocean and nature all my life, and am happiest surrounded by the wilderness. All photos on this site were taken by me, unless otherwise stated. Please observe my copyright to the materials used, writings and photos. Thank you so much for stopping by. I hope you enjoy your visit. For now, keep writing! And I will too! |
Interests | Books, music, films, the environment/political activism, nature, dogs, photography, humanity, Africa, social justice. |
Favorite Movies | I Dreamed of Africa, What Remains of Us (the Dalai Lama's message to his people inside Tibet), Dan In Real Life, The Kite Runner, Whaledreamers, Fierce Grace, The Cove, An Inconvenient Truth, The Namesake, Kundun, Fierce Light, I am Khan, so many others.......I am a movie nut! |
Favorite Music | Everything from classical to new age to world beat to oldies from the 40's and 50's - I especially enjoy female vocalists like k.d.lang, Jane Siberry, The Wyrd Sisters, and many of the great women voices from the 70's and 80's. |
Favorite Books | Where to begin? Too many. I have pared my library down to around a thousand I cant bear to part with, but have been hauling home armloads of books from the library every week since I was five. I hope to live long enough to read all the ones stacked and waiting for me, still unread and hopefully to revisit some old favorites one more time. |
