| Introduction | I'm a former stonemason who is a mad-keen player of Dungeons and Dragons and other table-top role-playing games who also happens to have a very rare type of dementia, which I was diagnosed with in 2020.. I live in Somerset. I have an okay social life, it's nice and quiet here, and I walk a dog called Tomos. Dementia doesn't suddenly make you some helpless person in a wheelchair. It's a slow burn. I'm still me, though I'm a little more forgetful, a little more easily befuddled and I take a load of Sertraline to keep me grounded. I write this blog to try and communicate my thoughts and machinations while dealing with this elephant in the room. |
