|Introduction||A former New Yorker, now spoiled by the mild clime of Seattle. After 15 years developing in C for a startup (1987 IPO), first encountered Java in 1996 and immediately found a new startup job to develop a Java (RMI) server delivered on JDK 1.1.2.
After moving to Seattle in 1998, built the system that did the first mobile commerce transaction in North America. Ultimately became Chief Technical Architect for the J2EE m-commerce system used by the top mobile carriers in the US.
A year after that startup was sold, joined a social media startup and embarked as CTO for a small team doing Ruby on Rails development.
After a freelance stint as sole developer writing C & Groovy, co-founded a start-up in the role of CTO to build a site in Groovy on Google App Engine.
Now spearheading cross-platform development at Zillow.
