Introduction When I'm not at work, I'm most likely training for cycling stage races, which takes about 15 to 20 hours per week of actual riding. Then there are at least a few hours per week of going over all of my data including heart rate, power output, cadence, caloric intake, weight, etc. Basically, I'm a numbers guy who loves sports physiology, and has plenty of his own data to learn from. I am fascinated by how much the body can change based on training and nutrition.

Why am I on TheFoodGuru panel?
As an elite cyclist/endurance athlete, my nutritional and physiological goals are much more cardiovascular, with little attention to weight and muscle gain. As you can imagine, my nutritional requirements can stray pretty far from those of my fellow power-lifting panel-members.
