IntroductionLaureata in Indologia presso l’Università degli Studi di Milano. Diplomata in Bharata Natyam presso la scuola Bharata Choodamani di Chennai diretta dal guru Padmashri Adyar K. Lakshman, inizia in Italia con Monica Gallarate e Maresa Moglia. In India studia canto carnatico e solfeggio ritmico con Seetharama Sharma e espressività con Indira Kadambi, approfondisce con le insegnanti Leela Samson e Meena Raman. Debutta al tempio Kapalishwara di Chennai nel 2009 e da allora, si esibisce regolarmente sia in India che in Italia. Fondatrice dell’associazione Sagome Teatro per la promozione delle arti sceniche indiane, è danzatrice e coreografa del gruppo DuniaTrio e della compagnia Mallika. Nel 2008 vince la borsa di studio eccellenze internazionali (Unimi e Cariplo), nel 2010 la borsa di Milapfest.
InterestsLucrezia is a Bharatanatyam (Indian classical dance) and drama artist, teacher and scholar based in Italy. In 1993 she started studying theatre and working on the stage as actress. She started learning Bharatanatyam in Italy under late Smt. Krishnaveni Lakshmanan students, Monica Gallarate and Maresa Moglia. Since 2006 she is undergoing intense training under the sage guidance of Padmasree Adyar K.Lakshman at Bharatha Choodamani in Chennai where she took her dance Diploma after her Debut Perfomance at Kapalishwara Temple in 2009. She is also learning Carnatic vocal and nattuvangam under Bhagavatulu Seetarama Sharma and abhinaya from Smt Indira Kadambi. Her passion for Indian culture motivated her to complete the MA in Indology from the University of Milan. On graduating, Lucrezia was awarded a prestigious scholarship by the University of Milan for pursuing one year of advanced studies in Bharatanatyam in India. She performed a Bharatanatyam solo during the music and dance Season Festivals in 2010, 2013 and 2014 of Chennai.Lucrezia is also founder of an association for promoting Indian classical performing arts in Italy where she is teaching and organizing artistic events with indian gurus and teachers.. She is also perfomer and choreographer for the groups “DuniaTrio” (an ensemble of world music) and “Milon” (dance and music from Rabindranath Tagore’s opera). Recently Lucrezia received a prestigeous fellowship from the UK based organization “Milapfest”, for travelling and deepen her Bharata Natyam studies.
