Introduction | Some facts about me: I am a Naga writer living in Norway. I was born in Kohima, Nagaland, in North-east India. My PhD in English literature was obtained at Pune University, India. I have taught at university in Nagaland for 18 years. I was hosted by Tromsø Municipality, Troms County and UiT as a guest writer in Tromsø from 2005-2007. I have published a number of books of poetry, fiction, and non-fiction, see menu "Books" for details. One of my books, "When the River Sleeps" won the Hindu Literature prize for 2015. My novel, "A Naga village remembered" was the first novel to be published by a Naga writer in English. I have have also spoken at several international forums such as in Stavanger, Gothenburg, Frankfurt, Vienna and Barcelona. |
