| Introduction | Four years ago I left a 17 year career in the oil industry. I wanted to do something that was more suited to what I enjoy, which is being in the mountains and creating fun food. I created a company called the Alpine Apron which allows me to cook in the back country lodges and huts in British Columbia and Alberta. Most of my winter season is now spent at Battle Abbey working with my partner Roger Laurilla. Summer takes me into Assiniboine Lodge and various spots with the Alpine Club of Canada. I am in my early fourties and enjoy passing my time in my garden in Golden British Columbia, shopping for wonderful wool to knit with and walking my dog Tua. |
