| Introduction | Since leaving university with a degree in Computer Science in in 1989 I have worked as a systems analyst, data analyst, business analyst, consultant, solutions architect (which is a great title because no one actually knows what it means), project manager and software development manager in Agile and waterfall methodologies. In an Agile world there are many books. There are many methods in each book. Most of what is written works perfectly in each author's perspective of an ideal world. Sadly, I don't live in any of those. As far as I know, the only documented use of a silver bullet is to kill a werewolf and, while there are many shape-changing (read opinion-changing) people out there, I've never actually met a lycanthrope. I do what I suspect everyone in a similar role actually does: take what is useful and disregard the rest. In an attempt to make any sense of the theory, I present a series of posts targeted at different aspects of Agile development from a Delivery Manager's perspective. I hope you find it useful. If you do, please let me know. |
