Introduction	The Centerman is a midwesterner who has lived in the South, the Southwest, and Northeast, in areas rural, suburban, and urban. He chooses here to remain anonymous, as did Hamilton, Madison, and Jay when they wrote the Federalist papers, and Richard Henry Lee and others who wrote against adoption of the Constitution. By remaining anonymous, we hope to focus discussion on issues, not people.
