Introduction I caught the genealogy bug from my Aunt Jo-Ann Hacker. She spent years researching her paternal Hacker family, and when she past away in 1996, I took up the reigns. The internet really helped me to continue to research not only my father's side of the family, but my mother's side too. Except for what my Aunt had discovered, I started with so little on the rest of the families. All these years later, and with so much help from distant cousins I met along the way, these are my family stories. I also discovered surprises in my family and some historical WOW's. I also volunteer for historic Congressional Cemetery in Washington, D.C. transcribing their internment logs. I have many ECKLOFF family members buried there, and I felt this was a way to give back to them at a time when the cemetery was on the Historic Endangered list. Here is the link
