| Introduction | Born in a steel mill community on the Ohio River, I spent a year away from my family recuperating from a serious bone infection before picking myself up and moving forward to finish high school in 1951. I followed my career ambition and was employed in an office before graduating, then moved to Dayton for employment at WPAFB in 1956. After marrying and starting my family, I took time off in my career - 14 years - returning to the business world in 1974. Joining the National Secretaries Association in 1978 was the start of a wonderful journey that ended just this year when I chose not to renew membership. My children, grand-children and great-grandchildren live close by and we enjoy them all. The computer and my cyber friends are my link to the world. |
