Introduction "It's lovely up here." spoken by Barbara Streissand in On a Clear Day. I am happily married with two weenie dogs and a big furry cat. I had gastric bypass, RNY, in September of 2008. My surgery was performed by the wonderful Dr. Garth Davis from Big Medicine on TLC. To help with my weightloss and nutrition needs I am embarking on a Clean Eating style of eating. I also partiicapte in a 12 step Food Addictions support group. I love to love and laugh!! I like to read, socialize, play board games, photography, garden, watch movies, travel, hang out, go to art museums and all things nerdy!! Oh, and I have a tendency to type like I talk (very southern) so my apologies if my grammar skills are lacking.
Interests everything, I love to learn new things, meet new people and be happy and laugh, art, movies, music, live theater, gardening, reading

Favorite Books Let's start with favorite series--Anita Blake series by Laurel K. Hamilton, The cat who series by Lillian Jackson Braun ... Then anything by Janet Evanovich or Maeve Binchy or Billie Letts or Wally Lamb or Fannie Flag (do you see a pattern I really like Southern Fiction and mysteries) or David Sedaris or Chris Bohjalian or Barbara Kingsolver or Lorna Landvik or Joshilyn Jackson. I tend to stay in southern fiction or mysteries but like the Anita Black series which involves vampires I do ocassionally break the mold upon recommendation. The AB series is really good. I was really reluctant to read it but it was recommended several times so I gave in. I have started other series about vampires with little interest so apparently I like the author's style more than the genre itself. I also read cookbooks, magazines, bios, gardening, crochet and art books. Most of my books come from the clearance rack at Half-price books so I get a variety. Know a good book? Llet me know.

"Fun is good." by Dr. Seuss. "You're never fully dressed without a smile", from Annie. Change is not merely necessary for life. It is life. from my fortune cookie
