Introduction	I started this blog about 4 years ago as a Yahoo email to a few friends that were as bored at work as I was. Sending out articles and comments on what was going on in the world that affected the urban community stopped me from jumping off the 20th floor on a daily basis! People started to inquire about the craziness, comments and email battles that happened on my little list. Promoters started to ask me to send out their events. The list became a hub of activity for articles, social commentary and events for the UU's (Upwardly Urbans). We wanted to stay involved and informed without having to look for a bunch of information during our very busy days doing the Corporate Shuffle. Our Daily Blast has grown from those humble beginnings of 30 urban professionals to over 1,000. Why did I pick the slogan "For the Urbanites Who Give a Damn"? Because we do.
