Introduction | It seems that I have always been a sewer, even when I didn't have to be. I learned on a very old black Singer. We also had a Rocketeer and I now own a Viking #1+, and a Kenmore 150 stitch. I am originally from Deckerville, Mighigan, a small farming village (pop. now about 1,000) in the 'Thumb' about 7 miles from Lake Huron. I graduated from Michigan State University in 1967, where I did take a couple of tailoring classes. I have been in the south since August of 1979, but still miss the Great Lakes State, it is beautiful. I have been an English teacher, office temp, worked in a mortgage co., shipping & receiving, and sales/order entry, an am now umemployed/stay at home (no kids) where I digitize Alphabets for home embroidery machines for sale on Adorable Affordable DesignzMall. Gorillas are among my favorite wild animals, elephants may come next, although I am and, from childhood, always been for the critters of this world. We have a tri-colour sheltie, and a big, very handsome, orange and white shorthair kitty, a "Torbie". |
