Introduction My stories have been published in The Yellow Room, The New Writer, Writers' Forum, Mslexia, The Lampeter Review and The New Writer magazines, as well as in anthologies from Salt Publishing, Cinnamon Press, Spilling Ink, Earlyworks Press, Unbound Press, Rubery Press and Biscuit Publishing. Shortlisted six times for the Bridport Prize and three times for the Fish Prize, I have stories in both the 2010 and 2013 Bristol Short Story Prize Anthologies. In 2011, I came second in the Scottish Writers Association’s contest and won the Exeter Writers competition. In 2013, I was runner-up in Mitchelstown Literary Society’s William Trevor/Elizabeth Bowen competition and had a story published in the Salt Anthology of New Writing as well as winning the local prize in the Bath Short Story Award. My first novel, Tying Down The Lion, is published by Brick Lane. Ink Tears Press released my short story collection, When Planets Slip Their Tracks, in January 2016. It has been shortlisted for The Rubery International Book Award and longlisted for The Edge Hill University Short Story Prize.
