About me

Introduction I grew up in a semi-rural upstate New York neighborhood of engineer dads and stay-at-home moms. Arts and crafts were my after school, after kickball occupations; most often cardboard was my medium of choice. Cardboard gave way to wood and clay, and between teaching stints, I made a little income peddling ceramic sculpture and pottery. Now, having closed the book on my public school teaching career, I can fully embrace my passion to paint alla prima portraiture and plein air studies of the Catskill mountains and valleys that surround our home.
Interests I enjoy a warm, sunny day, meaty historical novels, drawing, painting, and imagining that someone will find a cure for Sjogren's Syndrome in the near future.

Do you believe that forks are evolved from spoons?

I believe that spoons are evolved from shovels; forks, from my hometown. Chenango Forks, New York.
