| Introduction | I am excited to share this blog about home renovations from a woman's perspective. I particularly love older homes and restoring them to their original beauty with modern touches. I live in upstate New York. My husband and I have bought four older houses in the last 7 years and renovated them - as we lived there! We faced lots of unknown challenges but enjoy the process and have made decent profits on each house we subsequently sold. We do everything on a small budget, use recycled materials whenever feasible and we do this in our spare time! Right now we are living in and working on a HUD foreclosure house that we bought in April. It is a 1758 sq ft cottage built in 1900. We moved in at the end of June and are almost done with the main living spaces. |
